100WC – Week #37 – Maggie

The bell went and we were in trouble. The principal awaited us in our class.

“ What have you two done!”

I shake my head as if to say “nothing” Preparing for disaster, I make a run for it. Although I didn’t really have anywhere to run, I dash away.

“Hey, where do you think you’re going?” He calls out after me.

I don’t look back, I just keep. My feet pounded along the ground till I couldn’t move. Teachers surronded me. I’m blocked off. I tried to move, but I was frozen with fear. They stared at me, not one of the teachers took their beady little eyes off me.

“Nothing!” I squirm.

  1. Oh no! You are certainly in trouble. I loved your story. It was great how the further you went along the less likely you were to escape trouble but then you still had the same answer, “nothing”. I thought you used language really well to; words like, “pound”, “frozen with fear” were great choices. Well done.

  2. Hello Maggie,
Your 100WC entry is wonderful. Not only well written, I was left wondering what dramatic event led you to be surrounded by teachers. Your final sentence was one I had heard many times as a teacher. Well done.
