100WC – Week #37 – Brooke

I hop in my vehicle turn up the music and slowly back out of my driveway with the kids I turn down the volume of the music and speck 

“Okay everybody we are going to the zoo but it’s a little different because of covid 19 is a drive through zoo

 “yay we shout turning up the music volume again we hit the road Were at the zoo you two hey look said jaden that monkeys climbed the tree and look said jessieThat koala  looks so furry and fuzzy dad can we have a petMaybe just maybe okay

    Your story reminded me of car trips with my family when I was growing up. 🙂 One suggestion I have is to read aloud your writing to hear for where you make a pause and check if you have added punctuation or need to.

    Firstly, thank you for using bold text to highlight the five prompt words making them easy to find and see they were well used. You used them effectively. Well done.
    A trip to the zoo can be exciting but you added a feature to you story showing it’s up to date, the zoo was a drive through because of COVD-19. For me in Australia, I’ve seen koalas in the wild but also in a wildlife sanctuary run by friends.
    A pet koala? They can be lovely but do sleep for most of the day waking to eat eucalyptus leaves from a few types of eucalypt trees and can scratch if scared but they do look so cuddly.
