100WC – Week #35 – Maggie

Scootering to the park, I spotted a black swan. Intrigued, I left my scooter under a tree and went to look at it. Be careful, I told myself. Then I stopped and thought about all the huge possibilities, on what could go wrong. Anyway I keeped walking, when I probably shouldn’t have….

I got a bit of bread from my pocket, then held it out of my hand. By then there were 8 swans. When I held out my hand, they all fought over the bread, and ended up pulling me into the talking river. I sat there for hours hoping someone would come, but no one.

  1. Oh no Maggie, I do hope someone came to the rescue. I like the way your character talks to herself and gives herself some advice, which she does not follow of course! That is very realistic. I also like the way you have divided your story into two halves.
