“Roll up roll up, buy one get one free only works for the melting moments,” cried the shopkeeper, all around me, people jostled for positions in line, people haggling over prices, I was a surf, as soldiers called me others would say I’m a peasant, the lowest of the low, we are fast scavenging for food, constantly starving. Normally we would go for a few days without food. Oh and when I say we I mean my younger sister, who is only 5. Our parents were killed but I don’t want to get into the details. Anyway last night was the weirdest night of my life. Let me tell you. So it was night time and I was lying down trying to get to sleep, but I couldn’t because of all the noises. Normally I can block them out, but this time I just couldn’t so I decided to go for a walk. So I walked for a while. And when I had decided to go back I realized I was lost. I had gritted my teeth in annoyance, not because I was scared but because my little sister was all alone. I needed to find a way back. But just as I was about to start walking again, a creepy slobaring animal sprinted up to me. “Which way to the shops”, it panted.
