100WC – Week #34 – William C

“I can’t replace that!” he said while looking at the flashlight. As he crept across the opening to another hallway, it turned towards him.

“RUN!!” she yelled, but luckily he had seen it a second before, and had already disappeared. Running down the hallway, as fast as she could, Jenny noticed the lights flickering, but then- *SNAP*

As the lights snapped off, Jenny’s vision went blurry in the dark. She tried to reach for a switch to turn it back on but it was to no avail. Then she felt the grip of a crooked hand slide along her shoulder.

  1. Hello William C.,
You have made wonderful use of the prompt in your thrilling 100 word story. As a reader, I was wondering what “it” was and what might happen after the “grip of the crooked hand”. Perhaps in a future story, your readers might learn. Very well done.
