100WC – Week #33 – Alice

We have been walking for four hours and we’re not even halfway done.

We have walked past so many strange sculptures and we don’t even stop to look at any.

But this one even dad is interested in, we just have to go in. It’s like a lighthouse with no light. We push the big wood door ajar – there’s two staircases one going down and one going up.

We go down. When we get down there is a table full of food that looks years old like there was  supposed  to be a meal but there never was.

All of a sudden dad collapses then lucy.

And I feel a sharp pain and I collapse.

  1. Greetings from Australia Alice. I could relate to you walking past sculptures along the coast because we have an event near my hometown called Sculptures by the Bay. I have seen some amazing sculptures- but I’ve never been in one that makes people collapse! I liked the way you used a variety sentence lengths in your text, especially the short, sharp sentences to emphasise the sudden collapse of each person at the end. Well done! 😊🌻
