100WC – Special Prompt #7 – Hannah F

“Women and men alike are forced into this waiting room to face their deepest fears head on. Do you have the guts to compete?”

It wasn’t the context that frightened me, it was his voice. It was too… smooth to be plausible. I thought of it similar to a sheet of glass with sharp edges. The man beside me shivered.  The terror on his face matched perfectly how I felt. I was extremely confused.

 Dimly noticing that my legs seemed to be made of marshmallow, I nodded. He grinned, with a sinister look on his face.

“Let the games begin”

  1. Hello Hannah F,
    I was very impressed by the quality of your entry not only in setting the scene for confusion but also by how well it was written. I certainly hope you continue writing sharing your growing skills as a writer.

  2. Kia ora Hannah.
    Oh boy! You got me! I REALLY want to know what is going to happen next, because this is so full of tension because of the language you have used and the way you have organised your writing into short paragraphs. I love it!
    Thanks = Ms M #100WC
